Making Boomerang Bags out of Recycled Material & other Craft

The course will be taking place from Wednesday 19th of July from 3.30pm-5.30pm for 4-6 weeks depending on interest at Fawkner Community House at 79 Jukes Rd., Fawkner.

What are boomerang bags?

Boomerang Bags is a community driven initiative tackling plastic pollution at the grassroots level. Dedicated schools, community groups, and volunteers get together to make reusable ‘Boomerang Bags‘ using recycled materials as a means to replace plastic bags.

Criteria: If you want to make the bags, anyone that can use a sewing machine, sew a straight line & has an interest in recycling but other people welcome to cut up material, iron bags and help with finishing.

Cost: Free but donations for materials and cottons gratefully received. Limited spaces as only a few machines but anyone can bring along their own machine.
